About Peripheral Vision

Peripheral vision is your ability to see objects and movement outside your direct line of sight. While we focus on what's in front of us, our peripheral vision covers about 180 degrees and is crucial for detecting motion and potential threats.

Why Peripheral Vision Matters for Gaming

  • Flanking detection: Notice enemies approaching from the sides
  • Minimap awareness: Process map information without looking away from the center
  • Movement tracking: Detect player movement in your side vision
  • Multi-target awareness: Keep track of multiple enemies simultaneously

Training Tips

  • Practice keeping your eyes fixed on the center while being aware of the edges
  • Try to detect movement rather than identifying shapes
  • Peripheral vision is more sensitive to motion than to static objects

What This Trains

Stimulus recognition, click timing, decision speed, and recovery after missed or early reactions.

How To Use It Well

Take several attempts instead of trusting one result. Reaction time varies with sleep, caffeine, hardware latency, and focus.

Best For

  • Baseline reaction checks
  • Daily speed tracking
  • Comparing visual, audio, and click response
